Frequently asked questions.
FAQs
1) What services do you offer?
We provide mental health care for for all ages from 6 to 100: evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, brief therapy, and care coordination. If you already have a therapist, we will collaborate.
2) How do I book an appointment?
Scan the QR code on our website to request a visit, or call our office directly for current availability. Choose in person at our Geist professional office or secure telehealth.
3) Do you take my insurance?
Yes—we’re in network with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Cigna, Aetna, and others. We also offer self-pay. Before your first visit, we’ll verify your benefits and share an estimate so costs are clear.
4) What should I expect at my first visit?
Your clinician will listen to your story, review your history, and create a plan with you. This may include lifestyle tips, therapy options, and if appropriate, medication. You’ll leave with a clear next step and a way to reach us between visits.
5) Are visits virtual or in person?
Both. You can be seen in person at our Geist professional office or by secure video from home (a quiet space and headphones help). Tell us your preference when scheduling.
6) What if I’m in crisis or need help now?
If you’re in immediate danger, call 911. For urgent mental health support in Indiana, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) any time. Then contact us so we can follow up with ongoing care.
Privacy: We follow HIPAA and use encrypted systems to protect your information.
Refills: For safety, refills are managed during visits; message us early if you’re running low.
